The Dualie is small, surface mounted pickup designed for use on medium sized soundboards. The Dualie Insider comes complete and ready to install and is pre-wired to an endpin jack.
Technical
When we first debuted the original "Dualie" pickup approximately twenty years ago, it was designed to be used on acoustic and classical guitars.......And then a funny thing happened: musicians discovered that they could stick the Dualie onto just about anything and that it worked and sounded great.
The "Dualie" is a surface mount piezo pickup. It is approximately 5/16" thick, 1 1/8 inch wide, and 1 3/4 inches long.The pickup sensor is light in weight (a couple of ounces), and does not inhibit top movement or vibration.
Amplification
This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.) As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. If you require the ability to plug directly into a P.A. or mixer then you may wish to add our Mini Pre belt clipable preamp.
