Ideal for Ukes, Guitars and other instruments with small to medium sized soundboards where a small size and the light weight of the pickup are of utmost importance. The LP-15 Insider comes ready to install and is pre-wired to an endpin jack.
Technical
The LP-15 series is a new and revolutionary design for soundboard pickups.
The LP-15 pickups are the smallest, thinnest, lightest, and lowest profile soundboard pickups extant. Built in a new patent pending process, they are less than one sixteenth of an inch thick at only 0.049" (1.25mm).
The pickup sensor is extremely light in weight (weighing less than 2 grams) and does not inhibit soundboard movement or vibration.
Instrument Use
Suggested for use on instruments with smaller soundboards such as a uke, tenor guitar, baritone uke, parlor guitars. Suggested for use on instruments with skin heads such as an esraj, kora, shamisen, rabab.
Amplification
This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.) As with any pickup, the sound can be further enhanced with an outboard preamp. If you require the ability to plug directly into a P.A. or mixer then you may wish to add our Mini Pre belt clipable preamp.
